This dessert is perfect for any family or friends gathering. It’s easy to make and requires just a few ingredients. You will love it for the sweet and tart flavour, it’s super refreshing!
Ingredients:
- 1 can of evaporated milk
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 1 cup (8 oz.) of lime juice, without seeds (approximately 6 large limes)
- 1/2 cup of cream cheese
- 1 packages of Maria cookies (if you can’t find Maria cookies use any sweet cookie like graham crackers, ladyfingers or digestive biscuits)
To decorate:
- 1 to 2 drops of green food coloring (optional)
- Lemon zest
- Lemon peels
- Sugar sprinkles
Preparation:
In a bowl mix the evaporated milk, condensed milk, lemon juice, cream cheese and food coloring. Use a hand blender to get an homogeneous mixture.
In a cake pan with spring arrange a layer of Maria cookies, cover with the milks mixture, add another layer of cookies and cover with the mixture again. Repeat this procedure until you fully cover the pan.
Refrigerate overnight. If you are in a rush put it in the freezer for 3 hours.
Have fun decorating it, use lemon zest, lemon peels and/or sugar sprinkles.
